The piece presents the female form as a tragic historical figure, an extension connected to the idea of the marriage. A dependant organism with a mechanistic course and predetermined series of actions, functioning in a ritualistic puppet like manner and a consciousness in a state of hypnosis. The phallic symbol is the torch and the brade is the measuring unit of time passing by. An omphalic lore is connecting her with the patriarchal standards, tradition predefined in her a single course. “The man is my right hand , all the rest I execute with my left one”. The lamentation and the grave monuments of the ancestors. Time goes by and the woman is enforced as a mute observer, feeder and a solid monument of the circle of life, like the goddess Demetra.
